Clair's Bed & Breakfast is a gorgeous heritage home that was built in 1922 by the Baker Family. It is located on a quiet corner in the heart of the turn of the century fishing and farming village of Ladner, just a block from the water's edge. Each of Clair's six lovely private guest accommodations; three cozy rooms and three deluxe suites; have an individual style all complete with comfortable beds, private ensuite baths, luxurious full length white cotton bath robes for your use. Televisions in four of the six rooms and suites, and many added extras. In the morning awake to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, enjoy a full home cooked breakfast in Clair's elegant dining room. Spend the day exploring, then dine from a wide variety of wonderful restaurants within walking distance of Clair's, including four star country french cuisine at LaBelle Auberge, authentic Greek at Taverna Gorgona, Atlas and Niagara restaurants; amazing Japanese cusine at Maguro or maybe choose from the other numerous eating establishments.
If you are just passing through we are the perfect place to stop for the night! If you care to stay and relax for a time, we have lots to see and do in this area of Delta. Shop in the Village! Discover that we are just minutes from Westham Island which is home to the world reknown Reifel Bird Sanctuary, where the famous Snow Geese make their annual migration. Enjoy watching the bald eagles, they are among just a few of the many bird sightings. Nearby can be found, the "Westham Island Winery" or the "Wellbrook Winery" along Hwy 10 for fruit wine tasting and of course you could stop at "Westham Island Herb Farm" to mention just a few stops in that area. You can easily fill a day with bicycling, kayaking or hiking the miles of waterfront and beaches or visit famous Burns Bog. Rent horses for the afternoon and enjoy the prepared trails. Check with Clair before you head out on your adventure and she can prepare a picnic lunch for you at a nominal charge.
Clair's Bed & Breakfast is located an easy 10 minute drive through lush farmland and heritage homes to the B.C. Ferries that can deliver you to Victoria & Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. This ferry terminal is also the departure point for you to travel to other destinations in the Gulf Islands such as Mayne Is, Saturna Is., North and South Pender Islands. Ladner is situated just off of Hwy 99 which is the direct link between the beautiful city of Vancouver and the Peace Arch (Blaine, WA. USA.) Border Crossing. You can travel from our doorstep in Ladner Village to downtown Vancouver in under 30 minutes, as well as travel to/from the USA border in about the same amount of time. Why not spend time relaxing in the country atmosphere while being close to the hustle and bustle of Vancouver.
