Choose The Star Rating That's Right For You
If you are seeking modest accommodations, a one star
rating could meet your needs. One star ratings meet Canada Select
standards of cleanliness, comfort and safety - without the extras.
Two
or three star ratings could be what you're looking for if
you're seeking moderate to above average accommodations with additional
facilities, guest amenities and services available. Four
and five star accommodations are exceptional properties
offering extensive or outstanding facilities and services. Half stars are
awarded to properties whose overall quality exceeds their specific
category ratings.
It would be like comparing apples to oranges to
rate Bed and Breakfasts using the same criteria as used for large Resorts
or Hotels. Therefore, the various types of accommodations are divided into
six different categories, and different criteria are used in each to
establish the star ratings. Decide the type of accommodations you want,
