This place is one of a kind. A home away from home. I would not stay anywhere else in Newfoundland!!!
Gorgeous view, delcious breakfast, relaxed evenings... Would recommend it to anyone.

Having just returned from a fantastic holiday in newfoundland I can only endorse what others have written about this wonderful B and B and Liz and Mike.
Their home is wonderful, rooms not on the large side but who cares when the hospitality is so wonderful. We were only there one night but felt as though we had made real friends. The whale spouting outside and the capelin on the beach just added to the experience. Thank you Liz for your generosity and we will certainly call in again next time we are in the vicinity.
If you are in the St Johns area look no further for a fantastic place to stay - and I don't make that recommendation lightly!

All the excellent ratings and positive postings are true. As well as the above and beyond hospitality of Liz and Mike we were truly impressed with the restoration of thier Heritage house. The accommodation and breakfast was more than 5 star.

I returned to Newfoundland for the first time in 20 years to a family reunion with my husband and one year old son... When we stayed at Strapp's Heritage House we were welcomed like family! Liz and Mike were so thoughtful and attentive! The house is truly a home and just beautiful. We walked the beach everyday and the baby napped in our room under the window, lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean. While he napped, Bob and I spent time reading on the porch or sharing Mike's homemade wine in the parlor. Liz and Mike helped make our first family trip to Newfoundland very special and we hope to come "home" again soon...

It was wonderful to have the time to chat with Liz and Mike (a bonus to visiting after tourist season) They told us so much about the history of their family, the area and about rug hooking! What a bonus! Their home is beautiful, warm and gives you a lovely sense of life in Newfoundland.
(And the breakfasts were outstanding!)
