A Yellow House is quietly situated directly on the East Coast Trail on the Southern Shore in the Avalon Peninsula - voted the best coastal destination in the world by National Geographic in October 2010. It feels like another world yet it is just 45 minutes from St John's International Airport and has the advantage of wireless internet. It is set into the hillside above Tors Cove with quite wonderful views out over five islands and the ocean beyond. There are two bedrooms - one with queen size bed and one with double bed and a new, comfortable sofa bed suitable for one in the den. It is well equipped for up to five people (two couples and a child or three individuals) with a full bathroom including shower upstairs and a two piece bathroom downstairs. Bed linen and towels are provided. Recently renovated to a very high standard it has an excellent kitchen with dishwasher, pantry and laundry room (with washer and dryer) and is comfortable in any season with electric heating as well as a wood stove. All fuel is supplied. There is cable TV, a CD system and lots of good books as well as maps and guides.
