Nestled on 2 acres among an orchard of apple trees in scenic Musgravetown, we are the Discovery Trail’s newest accommodation and catering service. Whether you’ve come to stay in one of our double-occupancy guest rooms or as a group to be catered to, you will experience the quality of hospitality and fabulous food we’ve become well known for at “The Old Barracks”. During the warm summer months, relax with a book on the top deck looking out beautiful Bonavista Bay or enjoy a cold beverage and share the company of other guests on the lower deck. In the autumn, take a stroll through the orchard and help yourself to a basket of apples from one of the 200 trees surrounding the property. Or if you are joining us in the Winter months and taking an advantage of outdoor activities on nearby snowmobile trails or Clarenville’s White Hills Ski Slopes, you’ll enjoy the warmth and comfort of the woodstove and our year-round Christmas tree situated in our spacious Den. And for all your catering needs, we can accommodate groups of up to 60 guests, including family events, organization/business/group brunches, lunches and dinner meetings. If you are looking for the ideal group or family getaway or retreat, the whole house is available for rent as well.
