Come and enjoy an unforgettable vacation, here on the shores of the Bras d'Or Lake, in the heart of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. This place is perfect for a Vacation for the whole family - in a small private environment with family atmosphere. The cottage and the B&B room is especially suitable for elderly and those of us, who want much privacy and a very peaceful location right on the water without being in the nowhere. We are located in the centre of Cape Breton, between the National Park and the Highlands of Cape Breton and the Fortress of Louisburg. This makes us an ideal starting point for day trips all around Cape Breton, especially to the Cabot Trail, to several nearby water falls, to the Skyline Trial, or for Whale watching and Puffin tours. The cozy cottage is located right at the shore of the Bras d’Or Lake with its own lawn, a separate driveway and own beach frontage. This is you guarantee for a lot of privacy and serenity. The cottage has about 65 m² living space on two floors: a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, coffee machine, electric stove, fridge, freezer), pots and pans, dishware, one bedroom with a queen size European double bed, a loft with 2 single beds (attainable through a narrow wooden ladder), a pull-out studio couch, bathroom with shower, anteroom, and a roofed veranda to south. Of course there is a fireplace as well. You don’t have to be an extreme athlete or an adventurer – or even a fisherman - in order to enjoy your vacation with us. Seniors, families with children, couples or singles all are welcome to rejuvenate here in this clean and healthy environment. In our dwelling (ground level) we offer a B&B room with private bath room, separate entrance, lake faced and a full breakfast with bacon and eggs “from our own happy chicken” - if you like. At our place you will find the ideal combination between the closeness to nature / individualism and the contact with the person on the scene – if required, with personal support or just with recommendations for your daily, personal activities. The landlord, who is a fisherman himself, will be within reach – if you want him to be. If you don’t want to waste your first day with shopping for groceries, then you can send us a shopping list up to a week in advance. So we will stock up your fridge.
