The Auberge Walker Inn in Pictou invites you to experience the charm and elegance of a by-gone era. Built in 1865, the Inn is now a Registered Historical Building. Renovations were carried out mainly in the 1990's in such a manner as to preserve the inherent graciousness and character of the building. The Inn offers an ideal environment, combining the best of bed and breakfast charm with the privacy and spaciousness of an inn. Located at the very heart of Pictou, one block back from the harbour, the inn is within minutes' walk of all local attractions. Ten rooms with ensuite bathrooms and one luxury suite are available to the discerning traveller, with views ranging from the harbour and causeway, to down the main street of Pictou or over the treetops of the town. There are common shady wooden decks at all levels – the largest being off of the reception area, full of plants and seating arrangements. Come and browse the extensive library! All rooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower, cable television, phone, wireless internet and ceiling fan. Select rooms have air conditioning. An extensive continental breakfast is included in the price. The Inn also has bijou conference facilities, for up to twenty participants.
