Less than an hour's drive away, guests can explore Lunenburg and the history of the South Shore. Home of the world-famous schooner the Bluenose II and host to the annual Lunenburg Festival of Crafts, this town is a great place to spend the day. The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic is steeped in history and will complete the fascinating story of this area after a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town.

Thirty minutes from Larinda's Landing is downtown Halifax. The stunning waterfront boardwalk will allow you to watch the cruise ships come and go from the beautiful port city, shop in elegant boutiques, and delight your taste buds in some of the many fine dining establishments. The nightlife bustles with sidewalk cafes, live music, and a world-class casino. Citadel Hill, a fortress in the heart of downtown has within its walls a fabulous military and naval museum, or explore the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic and Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History.

Along the coastal drive, you will take in nearby Hubbards Cove, which is decorated with an array of colourful boats. Chester, a boater's paradise and a great place to shop or take in a round of golf at the Chester Golf Club and the picturesque town of Mahone Bay, with its pastoral setting of churches reflected in the calm waters, which will leave you breathless. The main street is perfect for an afternoon stroll through the numerous antique shops, local craft shops, and galleries, as well as lots of pubs and restaurants for your dining pleasure.

The Rails to Trails are a minute away, which provide a gorgeous hiking, cycling and nature walking experience. The private sandy beach allows easy access for kayakers, snorkelers, sunbathers and is great for small children to enjoy. We have kayak outfitters and guided tours readily available.
