Smith Rock Lodge and Chalets features 10 chalets available in three different sizes, as well as the 12 unit Rock Maple Retreat. All our accommodations are designed to meet the needs of any prospective groups or guests, with the goal of making your stay with us as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. All of our accommodations include free Wi-Fi & satellite television and include a fully equipped kitchenette featuring fridge, microwave & coffee maker (chalets also include stove) and private bathroom, everything you to feel at home. Smith Rock Lodge & Chalets is also wheelchair accessible, and offers pet friendly and pet free chalets. All guests are welcome to enjoy our outdoor heated pool & hot tub conveniently located near our Chalets and located in our Main Lodge: three piece fitness centre & sauna.

Our One Bedroom Chalets are double occupancy and equipped for up to four guests to sleep. They feature all the modern amenities you would expect to help make your stay enjoyable, including full kitchen and bathroom. These chalets feature a queen bed & sleeper sofa, and include deck, BBQ & fire pit.

Our Two Bedroom Chalets are quad occupancy and equipped for up to six guests. They boast the same comforts found in our smaller Single Bedroom units, including full kitchen, bathroom, queen bed and either a double bed or two single beds, and sleeper sofa, and include deck, BBQ & fire pit.

Our Three Bedroom Chalet is quad occupancy and equipped to handle a maximum of eight guests. This luxurious accommodation is designed to be your home away from home, and features a full kitchen and two bathrooms, one king bed, one queen bed, two twin beds as well as pull out sofa, as well as deck, BBQ & fire pit. It is both pet friendly, and wheel chair accessible.

The Rock Maple Retreat features 12 luxurious rooms, with double occupancy equipped for a maximum of four guests each. These rooms include a queen sized bed and pull out sofa, as well as kitchenette (bar fridge, coffee maker, and microwave). Rooms 6 & 11 are both wheel chair accessible and pet friendly. All rooms in the Rock Maple Retreat have BBQ and fire pit access.

Ocean View Motel & Chalets is an oceanfront property situated in the Acadian village of Chéticamp on the famous Cabot Trail on beautiful Cape Breton Island.
Chéticamp provides a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy – unique craft shops, historic sites, whale watching tours, golfing (Le Portgage Golf Club), hiking trails and beaches. Visitors can experience local Acadian entertainment and restaurants featuring our traditional cuisine. Les Trois Pignons houses the Museum of the Hooked Rug and Home Life – an Acadian, cultural, genealogical and visitor information centre which shares the story of the settlement of Chéticamp and the evolution of hooked rugs. There are restaurants, a local pub and a golf course all within a 5 minute walk of the property.
While staying with us, enjoy the panoramic views of canyons, highlands and seacoasts as you drive through Cape Breton Highlands National Park with 25 hiking trails – from easy strolls to challenging climbs – golf, wildlife, beaches, look-offs and interpretive programs.  The Cabot Trail weaves through the Park and we are located just 5 km / 3 mi from the park’s entrance.

Our accommodations include 6 spacious motel rooms (Queen, King) and 12 one-bedroom chalets (Queen, King; 2 with double whirlpool and fireplace); all ground level with a 4-piece bath, satellite television, DVD player and complimentary movies. Guest amenities include free laundry facilities, free wireless Internet access, picnic tables, barbecues and campfires. Reservations are recommended. Visa, MasterCard and Direct Debit are accepted.

Ketchum Cottages offer three period rustic seaside cottages. Each are unique and individually furnished.

They all have large yards, spacious living areas with kitchen and laundry facilities and outstanding ocean views of the Northumberland Strait.

Walk for miles at low tide. Swim at high tide. 2 cottages are pet friendly. There are 1-3 bedrooms depending on cottage.

If you enjoy cooking, you will be in a paradise as you prepare your seaside meal overlooking the ocean and rolling waves with dining options in the screened in porch or, out on the patio at the picnic table overlooking the ocean and beside the outdoor propane fire pit or inside the 14” vaulted ceiling panoramic ocean view dining room. Shop for your menu items at the local grocery store, mussel farm or lobster pound and accompany it should you choose with a paired wine from the local NSLC.

If you rather an evening out, there are several options to choose from ranging from fish and chip diner atmospheres to fine cuisine ocean front dining restaurants.
