This is a natural phenomenon which is seen in very few parts of the world. The Bay of Fundy is particularly noted for its extremely high tides, the highest in the world, and for its Tidal Bores.the rise and fall of the oceans tides is caused by the gravitational pull of the moon on the earths watery blanket. At most places along the ocean shores, high tides occur regularly every 12 hours,25 minutes.

After it rolls in it is important to wait another 15 minutes or to see the volume of water increase. On a quiet day you can hear it approaching long before you see it.
Have fun riding the tidal bore in a Zodiac boat guided by experienced tour guides that offer their educational expertise of the Historic Shubenacadie Canal, geology and wildlife including the many Bald Eagles that nest in the area.
