Lawrencetown Lodge started in June 2018 as an idea to solve an accommodation shortage in the area.

We continuously had friends and family coming to the area with the question ‘is there anywhere close by to stay?’ – We ran with the idea of developing cottages and have been working on creating Lawrencetown Lodge Inc. ever since. Not only did we want to create an accommodation business, we wanted to create a unique experience with modern touches in a beautiful location.

We feel that we are on our way to making our vision a reality. This phase is the first of many, and we hope to expand into a getaway that everyone will want to experience – you’ll have to stay tuned for what we have in store!

Archer’s Edge offers guests a unique experience. The campground property has been in our family since settling in the area from the Highlands of Scotland in 1891. It was once a working farm that gave way to woodland as the era of family farms began to fade. Cheticamp Visitor Centre is 4.6 km away and guests can drive to Gypsum Mine Trail in 10 minutes. Such popular dining spots as Laurie's Motor Inn and Wabo's Pizza Sub and Donair are 5-minute walk from the property. It lies at a short distance of Little Pond Stables. The nearest airport is Sydney, about 95 km away.

The charming village of Mabou which has great local food, groceries, hiking, fiddle music and step dance is just fifteen minutes away.  Meanwhile, we are a scenic half hour drive from the five-star Cabot Cliffs Golf course in Inverness and an hour away from the starting point of the world-famous Cabot Trail.  The lakeside town of Baddeck, the historical Fortress of Louisburg and whale watching expeditions are all easy day trips from our property.

Yarmouth is a great choice for any family looking to get away from it all, without traveling into the wilderness. Our town is situated just minutes from the CAT Ferry from Maine, and it is home to a number of museums and restaurants you won’t soon forget. You won’t have to rough it to enjoy a weekend in Nova Scotia.
